Bereits vor Abschluss ihres Studiums bei Prof. Jean-Claude Gérard und Prof. Aurèle Nicolet wurde die deutsche Flötistin Wally Hase im Alter von 22 Jahren Soloflötistin der Staatskapelle Weimar, diese Position hatte sie bis 2009 inne.
2000 folgte ihre Berufung als ordentliche Professorin für Flöte an die Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar; von 2014 bis 2018 hatte sie zusätzlich eine Gastprofessur an der Akademia Muzyczna w Krakowie inne. Seit Oktober 2018 ist Wally Hase Universitätsprofessorin für Flöte an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
Ihre Orchestertätigkeit als Soloflötistin führt sie u. a. bei der Camerata Salzburg und der Cappella Andrea Barca unter der Leitung von Sir András Schiff fort.
Neben Recitals, Solokonzerten und intensiver Kammermusiktätigkeit u.a. mit dem Trio Lobkowitz Wien, im Duo mit dem Gitarristen Thomas Müller-Pering gibt sie Meisterkurse in Europa, Australien, Asien und Südamerika. Zahlreiche Rundfunk- und CD-Produktionen sowie eine internationale Jurytätigkeit dokumentieren die Vielseitigkeit ihres künstlerischen Wirkens.
Even before completing her studies with Prof. Jean-Claude Gérard and Prof. Aurèle Nicolet, the German flutist Wally Hase became principal flute of the Staatskapelle Weimar at the age of 22, a position she held until 2009.
In 2000 she was appointed full professor of flute at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. From 2014 to 2018 she also held a visiting professorship at the Akademia Muzyczna w Krakowie. Since October 2018, Wally Hase has been Professor of flute at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
She continues her orchestral work as principal flutist with the Camerata Salzburg and with Cappella Andrea Barca under the direction of Sir András Schiff.
Alongside recitals, concerto appearances and extensive chamber music activities – including performances with Trio Lobkowitz Wien and in duo with guitarist Thomas Müller-Pering – she gives masterclasses throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. Numerous radio and CD recordings as well as international jury engagements reflect the breadth of her artistic work.
